3its a fakeDec 27, 2008
this product is fine but its not the real one its a chinese clone thats why its been breaking id buy from a diffrent seller but other than that a fun lil toy and a good price for a trainer

3Flimsy, not controllableAug 19, 2008
This copter is a fun novelty. If you spin up the rotor, it'll take off and if you pull back on the stick it'll land so it entertained my 2 year old son who excitedly shouted about the helicopter in the sky.

However, the helicopter is too light and flimsy for outdoor flight. I've tried flying it on as calm a day as possible but even then, there is always some air movement and the slightest air movement just blows the copter about, it becomes unstable and crashes. Indoor flight is impractical because the copter is too large for most rooms. Perhaps it could be used in a large sports hall, but I can't think of any other venue.

Steering appears to be backwards but I'm not sure that that even matters since there is no forward and backwards, just rotation and height. I suspect that if I could find still enough air, the copter might move forward slowly allow me to control it (I used to have a little indoor copter that behaved this way) but as I said, I've never found still enough air to fly it stably.

2UNSTABLEAug 08, 2008
This device is unstable. The 'copter spins clockwise without touching the tail-rotor control. The manual instructs that a 'trimmer' potentiometer can be adjusted to correct spinning. Even with the trimmer pegged the thing spins like a top. I tried using the rotor control too; holding it counter-clockwise, to no avail. Now, I am looking to find a decent RC chopper that will simply hover when the main rotor is powered up. If anyone has any suggestions on either fixing this one or a different model, feel free to post!

4well worth the moneyJul 20, 2008
this toy is great fun and it is worth the money for sure the one flaw that i did notice is that the steering is backwards but you get used to it so far i have flown it twice and both were sucsessful with no damage everybody says the heli sucks and breaks too easy but any helicopter will break if you are uncareful and smash it into stuff definately worth the 30 bucks cant get it cheaper anywhere else

1Weak main frame leads to big problemsJul 01, 2008
THe main frame is a flexible plastic which does not help keep the rear in alignment at 90 degrees. One hit to the tail rotor blades and the main frame will snap in two. The gyro was not pre set from the factory another problem with this product. I paid the extra money and purcased a quality helicopter with an aluminum frame that had been test flown before it was boxed to ship out to the dealers.
