Plantronics MX100s versus Jabra c-120Dec 15, 2005 I wanted to hear my cell phone in both ears and I wanted to listen to music in both ears using my Treo 650. Well, I decided to go with the Plantronics MX100s because they are a well-known brand and I have used their other high-quality headsets for years.
Sadly, I was disappointed by the MX100s, but let me be clear. The MX100s is well made and has excellent sound quality, and includes two plugs - one for your phone and one for your iPod or whatever MP3 player. It works well with both the Treo 650 and my iPods. It is ALMOST everything I expected from a Plantronics product, with one tiny but important (and not mentioned anywhere) feature. THE PHONE SOUND ONLY COMES OUT OF ONE EAR!!!! How stupid is that? What a sad thing that the only missing feature on an otherwise superior product is something you would take for granted on a dual earbud headset.
Now I wish I had gotten the Jabra c-120's, although I would like someone to confirm that the phone sound comes out of both ears (duh!) Hello, Plantronics ... are you listening?
